Girls Rock Indy Camp is a day camp for girls (including trans and non-binary youth) ages 9-16.
Campers come for a week-long crash course in instrument instruction, songwriting, and musical collaboration. Additionally, our workshops and lessons focus on confidence building, empowerment, and leadership skills through the lens of music education. Campers do not need to have any prior music experience, and instruments will be provided.
Camp culminates with a Saturday Showcase in which campers will perform their original song with their band on-stage before a live audience.
Camp is held on the IUPUI campus in downtown Indianapolis. Camp tuition is $325.00 for one camper to attend one week of camp. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
The Amplifier Program was introduced at the 2017 camp as a counselor-in-training style program for our older and returning campers.
This track is limited to 10 campers for each camp week (two in each instrument group), and is open to applicants in or entering high school who have previously attended Girls Rock! summer camps. Successful applicants will enjoy the full experience of writing and performing a song, and will also have exclusive access to leadership workshops and activities.
